Academic planning and support for military students
Every incoming military child is assessed upon arrival as to their academic level of performance and instructional adjustments are made at that time. Students are also invited to join our Club Purple, where they participate in the once monthly afterschool club, where they work together on teambuilding and resiliency skills.

At Annunciation, we recognize the challenges of being a military family. Military children have a unique set of needs that educators should look at from a multicultural perspective (Cotten, 2019). Mrs. Finney is our full-time professional school counselor who provides counseling in the areas of social, emotional, and academic development. Additionally, we collaborate with outside resources and will connect you with them if needed.

When your military family joins ACS, we will connect your student with one of our military students who can show them around campus and answer any questions they may have. We can also pair up your family with a military liaison family who has knowledge of our school and area to help ensure you are settling in.
