Sports Teams
Annunciation Catholic School offers varsity sports for students in grades 4 through 8, including Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Co-Ed Soccer, and Boys and Girls Softball. Participation is a privilege that requires adherence to a code of conduct emphasizing academics, behavior, sportsmanship, and loyalty.
Academic eligibility requires students to maintain passing grades, with evaluations at mid-quarter and quarter’s end. Students with two or more detentions during tryout quarters are ineligible. Athletes must demonstrate honorable conduct on and off the field, treating coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect and fairness. They are expected to follow all rules and decisions, showing humility in both victory and defeat.
Athletes must respect school property and properly care for uniforms, which must be returned promptly after each season. Failure to do so will result in a replacement fee.
Before participation, each athlete must submit a current sports physical and a parental permission form, both available from the school office or website. Physicals must be dated on or after June 1 prior to the school year.
A $60 sports fee per sport is required upon team selection to cover equipment, officials, and team expenses. Parents and siblings are encouraged to volunteer during the season through various activities, including field preparation, concession stands, and study halls.
