Inspired by the Annunciation of Our Lord, and rooted in our Catholic faith, the mission of Annunciation Catholic School is to develop the potential of every child, to promote academic excellence, and to foster the Christian ideals of love, witness, and service in partnership with our families and parishes.
Historically, Catholic schools have been the lifeblood of the Church. You have given a great gift to your child by providing a school environment that is value based, scholastically challenging and spiritually affirming. A Catholic education is important as a way to transfer our faith to our children. Statistics show that the longer children stay in Catholic education, the more likely they are to continue practicing their faith.
Annunciation Catholic School is our PK – 8th grade inter-parish school supported by Saint Luke, Sacred Heart – Fleming Island, and Saint Catherine. These parishes have agreed to pay the mortgage on all buildings at Annunciation Catholic School. This mortgage is paid through the commitment and generosity of parishioners from these parishes.
Annunciation Catholic School takes its name from a pivotal event in Christian history, when Gabriel was sent as a messenger to the Mother of God. We are messengers, too, charged to spread the gospel through example, prayer, and the education of our children. The symbol of the lily, linked by tradition with the Archangel Gabriel, forms the background of the school logo.
